As a Maintenance Leader you will lead a team of skilled craftsmen and technicians to ensure the effective maintenance and repair of equipment, ensuring high levels of production efficiency and product quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership skills, and experience in a manufacturing environment.
As a Maintenance Leader, you will be responsible for:
Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules, identify necessary repairs, and prioritize work orders based on urgency and asset criticality. Leading and supervising a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, providing training, evaluating performance, and addressing issues. Tracking maintenance expenses, managing parts inventory, negotiating vendor contracts, and ensuring adherence to budget constraints. Enforcing safety regulations, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring all maintenance staff follow proper safety procedures. Regularly inspecting facilities and equipment to identify potential problems, diagnosing malfunctions, and initiating the necessary repairs. Sourcing and managing external contractors and suppliers, including repairs requiring specialized skills. Identifying strategic spares and repair parts required in the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities. Creating purchase requisitions for maintenance services and parts. Generating reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and cost analysis to identify trends and inform decision-making. Coordinating response to urgent maintenance issues and repairs during operational disruptions. Ensuring adherence to local building codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards related to maintenance practices.Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelors degree (or a high school diploma / equivalent plus an additional 4 years of experience in a Manufacting Maintenance related role in lieu of degree)Strong technical knowledge of maintenance procedures, including mechanical and electrical systemsProven experience with equipment troubleshooting, repair, and maintenanceExcellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisionsProficient in Microsoft Office, with experience using maintenance software and tools (e.g., SAP, Maximo)Work in a way that works for you
