Team Overview and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Supervisor in Heredia, Costa Rica, this role involves dynamic project management focused on process improvements and maintenance that drive measurable impact in a challenging, performance-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Exhibit safety leadership and foster a Zero & Beyond safety culture.Share expertise by training and guiding teams in best practices.Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, advocating for Lean Sigma methodologies.Manage tasks, supplies, and services required by operational areas.Drive results and ensure the sustainment of process controls.Lead and influence cross-functional teams at different organizational levels.Enhance process performance, efficiency, and capacity in alignment with business goals.Develop, document, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes using statistical tools.Utilize control systems and instrumentation to optimize process capabilities.Maintain presence on the shop floor, troubleshooting issues to enable root cause analysis.Perform Lean Facilitator functions to implement and maintain continuous Lean initiatives.Optimize manufacturing processes using Six Sigma, Lean, and technical design methods.Develop and conduct experiments to qualify and validate manufacturing processes, analyzing results and compiling reports.Create training materials and work instructions to ensure smooth knowledge transfer of manufacturing processes.Establish and manage project plans using risk analysis and project management tools.Handle other incidental duties as assigned by Leadership.Minimum Qualifications:
Active undergraduate student in Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Production, Mechanics, or a related field.Proficiency in Minitab preferred, but not required.Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred, but not required.Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite, with Intermediate Excel experience preferred.Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, including relationship management.Basic knowledge of statistical techniques.Solid understanding of Engineering principles, concepts, and theories.Familiarity with processes and equipment used in manufacturing.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work professionally across all organizational levels.Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Able to work in a team-oriented setting, including interaction with operators and project stakeholders.Ability to establish productive internal and external working relationships.Commitment to EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) standards, ensuring personal and environmental safety.Preferred Qualifications:
