Purpose of Role: The Maintenance Manager ensures machinery and equipment are running efficiently to achieve operational targets, transforming the maintenance culture from reactive to proactive with systematic problem-solving, reducing maintenance expenses, fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement within the department, and developing and mentoring direct reports to enhance departmental capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 30 maintenance personnel (including mechanical, electrical, and support staff)
Create a culture and belief that all equipment failures are preventable
Improve equipment and machinery reliability measuring machine uptime as a key metric
Accelerate improvement within the maintenance program through the application of ESCO’s business system (QVS) and be the driver of QVS in the department
Build organizational capability in the application of lean tools specifically 6S, Process Management, TPMs, standardized work and rapid cycle improvements
Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Highschool/ GED
Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above
Qualified professional with significant practical experience within specific area of work
Experience leading in a union environment preferred
Experience of leading and motivating a team with day-to-day operational control over end results
Operates within clear adherence to existing procedures and schedules with a keen eye on safety and efficiency
High level of business and customer commitment expected
