This position is responsible for directing the operations of multiple production support areas, including the maintenance team, security and janitorial staff for all facility offices and manufacturing areas, grounds maintenance and yard storage. This role is also responsible for providing support for office relocations and special events. This position reports to the Sr Chief Engineer.

YOUR IMPACT

Facilities Management responsibilities include:

Hiring, training, and supervising maintenance technicians and supervisors. Providing guidance, performance feedback, and fostering a positive work environment. Creating and executing comprehensive plans to minimize downtime, optimize equipment performance, and extend the lifespan of assets.Scheduling and overseeing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.Implementing and enforcing safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance department.Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, generating performance reports, and analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Monitors assigned area’s organization and discipline, ensuring that all materials, tools and equipment are in the proper location.Ensures that tools and materials essential for the performance of the work are readily available.Continually monitors existing operations and implements process improvements and/or cost reductions. Prepares related analysis, layouts and other supportive data. Prepares comparative cost estimates using alternative production methods.Provides input for strategic planning regarding manufacturing initiatives.Participates regularly in the Company’s TIP and Accident Project Safety Credit ProgramsManages janitorial supplies inventory.Coordinates the sealed bid program.Provides manpower to office areas for moving furniture, etc.

Safety Management responsibilities include:

Manages all aspects of safety, communicating safety objectives daily and working with his/her team on a proactive approach to safety performance.

Quality Management responsibilities include:

Maintains the highest quality standards within assigned area.Ensures that Team Members and fellow Supervisors are aware of and practice ISO 9001:2000 quality standards.

Team Member Management responsibilities include:

Provides training and guidance to Team Members through day-to-day feedback and periodic performance appraisals. Also provides training and guidance to other members of the Supervisory staff.Assigns specific tasks, as required, to ensure the most effective and efficient placement of the Team Members and Supervisors in his/her area.Assesses current and anticipated work volume to maintain proper manpower requirements and Supervisory coverage.Maintains a working knowledge of Company Policies and Procedures.Identifies team member problems as they arise and deals with them in a fair and equitable manner. Performs all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field8 plus years related maintenance experience

Supervisory experience desirableEffective verbal and written communication skillsExtensive knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, carpentry, and HVACProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Preventative Maintenance SoftwareAbility to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings/blueprints, and procedure manualsAbility to plan and organize projectsMust possess good communication and problem solving skillsAbility to provide hands-on technical support in a production environmentDemonstrates working knowledge of MRP and AS400Knowledge of CFM, Pull Systems, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Toyota Production System, Just-in- time Techniques, time standards, ergonomics, EHS, ISO 9000, computer skills and manufacturing experience in assembly processes

Pay Range:

$91,800.00 - $153,200.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
