Maintenance Engineer - Powertrain

 

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer to join our on-site team in Casa Grande, AZ. This role focuses on enhancing equipment reliability, optimizing maintenance strategies, and driving continuous improvement within our electric vehicle manufacturing operations. 

You Will: 

Lead the transition from time-based maintenance to cycle-based and condition-based maintenance strategies.  Design and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.  Create and maintain asset health reports to monitor equipment condition and support proactive maintenance decisions.  Develop and manage maintenance schedules, ensuring timely execution of preventive and corrective tasks.  Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to plan and prioritize work orders based on equipment criticality and production needs.  Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and labor in the CMMS.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment failures.  Provide technical support for troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues.  Assist in the specification, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.  Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards through engineering controls.  Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance procedures, equipment manuals, and engineering drawings. 

You Bring: 

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.  Strong problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of maintenance engineering principles.  Experience with CMMS platforms and maintenance planning tools.  Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance or manufacturing engineering role.  Experience in transitioning maintenance strategies (e.g., from time-based to cycle-based).  Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, IoT sensors).  Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.      At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
