Maintenance Engineer
As a Maintenance Engineer,  you'll be at the forefront of manufacturing operations, ensuring continuous equipment reliability and performance across our automated production lines. You'll serve as the technical specialist responsible for maintaining equipment uptime, diagnosing complex system failures, and implementing preventive strategies that maximize equipment life while minimizing unplanned downtime and production losses.
You'll develop and execute comprehensive maintenance programs, establishing reliability standards across all manufacturing equipment and automation platforms. Your expertise will encompass equipment diagnostics, failure analysis, repair procedures, performance optimization, and maintenance planning. You'll be instrumental in maintaining operational safety through regular equipment inspections, compliance monitoring, and proactive maintenance practices that ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.

 

Education: • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Systems Engineering, or related technical field

Experience: • Previous experience of hands-on maintenance experience in automated manufacturing environments • Proven experience with PLC troubleshooting • Experience maintaining industrial automation equipment including robots, servo systems, and material handling equipment • Background in preventive/predictive maintenance program development and implementation • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems – IBM Maximo) and maintenance planning

Software Proficiency: • Intermediate programming knowledge (Python, SQL) for data analysis and system integration • CMMS software experience (SAP PM, Maximo, or similar platforms) • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel for data analysis, Word for documentation) • HMI/SCADA platforms for operator interface troubleshooting • Data Analytics skills (Python, IA)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair PLC-based control systems across multiple platforms (Siemens TIA Portal/Step7, Sinumerik 840D, Cognex Vision Systems, Fanuc Robots), troubleshooting control logic faults, I/O failures, and communication issues to restore equipment functionality.

• Maintain and repair complex manufacturing equipment including material handling systems, dispensing units, numeric control machines, heat treat stations, conveyor systems, robotic units, ensuring reliable operation through systematic maintenance approaches

• Monitor and maintain data connectivity between automated equipment and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), in order to maintain data production visibility.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on servo drives, VFDs, and motion control systems (Schneider, B&R, Beckhoff, Siemens, SEW), maintaining positioning accuracy, optimizing performance parameters, and extending component life through proper maintenance practices

• Execute comprehensive safety system maintenance including regular testing, calibration, and validation of safety devices protecting operators around robots, high-speed equipment, conveyor systems, and other automated manufacturing machinery

• Execute and supervise preventive maintenance schedules based on equipment manufacturer recommendations, operational history, and condition monitoring data to minimize unexpected failures and optimize maintenance resources

• Manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships for critical components, ensuring availability of essential parts while optimizing inventory costs and establishing reliable supplier partnerships for emergency support

• Document maintenance activities and equipment history, maintaining detailed records of repairs, modifications, and performance trends to support reliability analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities, minimize production impact, and provide technical guidance during equipment troubleshooting and emergency repair situations

• Support equipment upgrades and modifications by providing maintenance perspective on design changes, ensuring maintainability and accessibility while preserving equipment reliability
