The Biologics units within the Pharma Service Group business group produces API (active pharmaceutical ingredients) in drug substance. This material enables customers to test new medicine and/or cure patients when the medicine is already approved for commercial manufacturing. **How will you make an impact?** At our site in Groningen we develop and produce active pharmaceutical products in a fully contamination controlled environment. This environment consists of cleanroom facilities and fully qualified utilities (HVAC systems, chillers, heating, compressed air, various water systems etc.) and operational equipment. In the role as Maintenance Engineer I you are part of the maintenance and calibration team. You are responsible for accurate scheduling, execution and administration of all in-house or outsourced Utility, Equipment and Facility maintenance activities (both preventive and corrective). To be successful, intensive interaction with stakeholders (i.e., Procurement, Operations, Quality departments, contractor companies etc.) is key. It is the Maintenance and Calibration department obligation to make sure to provide a continuous operational GMP compliant facility and equipment/Utilities to all stakeholders.. **The key responsibilities are:** + Execution of plant maintenance (preventive and corrective) and calibration in a Quality - GMP compliant way (execution and/or contractor mentorship, administration etc.). + Spare part management. + Working according to current Quality (cGMP) and safety standards + Participating in the 24/7 Engineering on-call team. + Providing Engineering support to all stakeholder departments (Operations, material management, Quality Control etc.) **What will you bring to the team** + Engineering education (Dutch: MTS/HTS) + Knowledge of Electrical systems, HVAC, cooling and heating technique. + Excellent interpersonal competences, work pleasantly with people with differing backgrounds and in different departments. + Analytical skills related to problem solving + Language skills NL and ENG (both verbal and in writing) + Can do mentality, achieving results and getting the job done **Preferences** + 5+ years’ experience in hands on Engineering role + Knowledge in operational (automation) technology (OT) + Scheduling skills, experienced with ERP systems **Our offer** + Direct contract with Thermo Fisher Scientific with a competitive salary, holiday allowance, flex benefit allowance and annual incentive bonus + Excellent career progression opportunities within a growing global employer + Training and courses available via our Thermo Fisher University to continuously develop yourself + Collaborative work in an international environment + Strong Team Spirit and many company and team activities + An extended employee benefit arrangement program + This is an on-site full-time position (40 hours).
