MAINTENANCE ENGINEER ATENDANT-FACILITY OPS-CS (FT/SWING)

Responsible for successfully maintaining, and repairing, as needed, all mechanical equipment on the property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Greet guests and associates with a smile. Make eye contact and verbally greet guests and associates. Respond to guests needs, and work with a sense of urgency to avoid long wait times. Build relationships and loyalty with guests by exceeding their expectations in providing guest service. Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution. Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP) and policies and procedures. Maintain all mechanical and cosmetic items in guest rooms and public areas. Monitor workload and advise supervisor of work overload. Assist other Engineers and Mechanics in repairs. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area in the Engineering Shop. Ensure adherence to all OSHA regulations and internal safety policies and procedures. Prepare daily work forms. Routinely inspect all lighting throughout the property, identifying potential problems and resolving same. Respond to maintenance requests. Ensure a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained. Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls of the Resort. Be a positive and productive associate. Must maintain regular attendance schedule. Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays. Must perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor and other members of CRDE management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above

Gaming property – Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required.  

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to operate hand tools, read a tape measure and understand their function is preferred.  Some construction or maintenance background is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job

Essential duties for this position include but not limited to the following: able to work within a variety of climates and outdoors under extreme conditions.  Safely lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds on occasions as well as able to walk or stand for 90% of assigned shift.  Repetitive bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing and pulling will be required throughout shift.  Exposed to hazardous chemicals.  Use of personal Protective Equipment such as masks, gloves, shoes, etc, may be required at times.  May require working out of doors in inclement weather, and extreme hot or cold conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, loud in the mechanical rooms.  When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud.  When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. 

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
