Under the direction of the Director of Plant Operations, the Maintenance Engineer will perform modifications and alterations in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and finishing work. **A caregiver in this position works days, 7:00am-3:30pm.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Modify/alter electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and finishing activities. + Complete routine maintenance. + Complete work order requests. + Complete routine inspections of the hospital and complete a daily log form. + Assist with hospital inventory and maintain departmental supplies. + Occasionally be required to transport patients to/from the hospital to Main Campus. + Other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Trade school diploma + OR High School diploma and three years of building trade experience + Understands the age-specific developmental stages of patients served by the Hospital and demonstrate the ability to interact appropriately with patients of all ages when necessary + Specific trade license/certification and/or specific training through education and/or equivalent on-the-job experience + The license/certification must be renewed annually or as required by the licensing/certification agency + Must participate in continuing education activities as required to maintain license/certification or to keep current in the trade specified.
