Your Role: Maintenance Engineer

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will report to the assigned shift’s Engineering Team Manager and play a key role in ensuring the efficiency of our automated Customer Fulfillment Center (CFC). Your responsibilities will include:

Responding to mechanical and electrical breakdowns of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently to minimize downtime. Performing planned maintenance and troubleshooting activities. Keeping detailed records of work completed, including tasks performed and parts used. Conducting repairs based on blueprints, schematics, and technical work instructions. Collaborating with fellow engineers to enhance equipment reliability and resolve breakdowns. Providing frontline support by monitoring the performance of the Grid and Robots, escalating complex issues as needed. Investigating and resolving operational stoppages, including liaising with off-site support teams. Conducting quality inspections to ensure safe and effective maintenance work.

In a Pre Go-Live/Start-Up phase, the first 6-9 months will involve training and potential travel to other North American sites for skill development. During this period, your responsibilities may vary to support the launch of the facility. Once operations commence, your role will align with the responsibilities outlined above.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

2+ years of relevant mechanical or electrical experience. Associate’s degree or vocational training in a related field, or 3+ years of hands-on experience preferred. Experience with predictive and preventive maintenance. Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and repairing equipment. Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred. Ability to work at heights and in a physically active role. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.). Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, in a 24/7 operation.

Physical Requirements:

Climbing ladders and stairs. Working in tight or confined spaces. Remaining stationary for extended periods. Lifting or moving objects up to 30 lbs (occasionally over 100 lbs). Effective communication with team members.

Work Environment:

Exposure to low temperatures and high-noise environments.

Location: This role is based at our Customer Fulfillment Center in Phoenix, AZ.
