Job Overview:

The Plant Operations department maintains the physical environment of the hospital buildings and grounds, and provides related services to support each HCA facility in reaching its commitment to the care and improvement of human life.

Qualifications:

Required:

High School Diploma or EquivalentValid New Jersey Driver LicenseFive years of Trade Experience at minimum

Certifications and Licenses Required:

Refrigerant Transition & Recovery Certification (Type II, III or Universal)Certificate in HVAC&;R preferredBlue Seal Refrigeration preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

8:00am-4:30pmMonday-Friday with occasional on-call requirementsFull Time

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Operates chillers, fans, pumps, heat exchangers and all other equipment necessary to provide heating, ventilation and air conditioning to the facilityInstalls maintains and repairs equipment such as but not limited to pumps, valves, radiators, fans, motors, heaters, condensate tanks, pneumatic controls, thermostats, fan coil units, refrigeration units and window AC unitsInstalls maintains and repairs steam, hot water, and chilled water piping, control and stop valves, and all related equipmentPerforms scheduled rounds in order to inspect and verify proper operation of all HVAC equipmentPerforms filter changes in air handling units, fan coil units and window units as per schedule and/or as neededMonitors and inspects work to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulationsFollows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standardsPerforms scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
