We are looking for a Maintenance Cost Controller to join our team based in Karshi. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and you will be responsible for ensuring company policies and guidelines are followed in the cost control of maintenance expenditure. You will be also responsible for the day-to-day maintenance purchase invoices; preparing monthly reporting to management on variance to budget and forecast expenditure; and providing cost management leadership on major turnarounds and major un-planned (breakdown) maintenance activities.

As the Maintenance Cost Controller you will:

Cost control

Monthly reporting of maintenance costs against budget and forecast expenditureWork with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Planner to help ensure that accurate maintenance budgets are established for longer term work and that the work is subsequently completed within the available budgetsManaging the capitalisation of parts of maintenance work scopeSetting up and managing turnaround budgeted spend with daily cost reportsProvide guidance in setting up maintenance SAP work orders for all maintenance activities, to ensure the cost structure meets the needs of the cost reportsEstablishing work processes for tracking and controlling maintenance spend incurred during major un-budgeted (breakdown) activitiesReviewing SAP maintenance work order reports for correct coding

Purchasing review

Field check materials and equipment delivered by contractors/suppliers against the scope defined in purchase order (making a record for later to match to the purchase invoicing)A check of all invoices to make sure manhours, materials and services quoted are in line with actuals receivedCheck that the contractor hours that are invoiced are aligned with site attendance records during turnaround and major maintenance activitiesTeam up with Procurement department to make sure we have an aligned purchasing strategy for all maintenance activities and that these result in lowest cost, without negatively impacting safety, quality or schedule

You will have:

Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills across all levels (technical and non-technical)Has an engineering degree and/or a background in financeAble to organise and plan very well, and has a very structured and disciplined work ethicA self-starter who can manage their own schedule proficientlyHas well developed analytical skillsEnjoys working in a very dynamic operational plant environmentFlexibility in terms of changing priorities, workload and working hoursWork conditions and benefits packageCompetitive salary (upon agreement after interview) and job conditionsSalary is paid twice a month in Uzbekistan sumsAnnual performance bonusWork schedule: 8 hours per day, 5 days a week (Monday – Friday)The workplace is located on the territory of the plant in Karshi, Kashkadarya RegionWhen relocating to Karshi a housing allowance is provided to an employee to rentan apartment (the allowance amount depends on the number of employee's family members)Assistance with relocation (managing all required migration documents and relocationof the employee and family members to the place of destination)Annual leave – 21 calendar days.
