The Opportunity:

We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Coordinator at our folding carton plant in Conover, NC. Responsibilities for this role include the following:

Responsible for coordination of work order flow and overseeing MP2 system, cost analysis working through inventory team.   Maintain housekeeping and 5S to standards set by management. Follow all WestRock Core Values and Behaviors. Additional job duties as assigned by department manager.Review ready work ordersMeet with Reliability Manager weekly to schedule open work orders to techs and B.U.G. associates and record estimated downtime neededCreate daily schedules after action feedbackCreate bills of materials and maintenance request ordersAttend scheduling meetingsCommunicate with production scheduling, maintenance specialist, departmental personnel and storeroom personnelProvide inventory feedbackOversee MP2 systemAssist in maintenance assignment follow upAll work orders 10-99 must be approved by the RM (Reliability Manager) verbally or in writing before being advanced on the status grid. Some sections of the grid will be omitted in the work order process due to the unnecessary role on the system at Conover. Work order assignments are made by the RM.Pm assignments: Anita will provide the schedules for the Equipment PM’s. MC will relate to PM tech’s what machines are due. PM audits are to be done weekly.40% of the work day will be spent on the production floor with the technicians observing and recording the various repairs performed by the technicians with pictures and descriptions of task being performed. Respect approaching the maintenance staff and other employees on the production floor should be followed as described in the Code of Conduct Manual. ER Team attendance is not required, but recommended.Cost analysis through working with the inventory team, CI Manager and tech’s with comparison cost (Factory verses In House) on parts and labor, and forwarded to the RM, and CI manager weekly.RM/CI manager will assign special projects to be documented with photos, comments, special interest points by the technicians and the factory techs. These will be put into a report and or spread sheet and discussed with the RM and CI Managers before presenting to the steering team.Schedule and monitor PM, and cleaning of the oil shed. All discrepancies are to be noted on the weekly status sheets and reported to the RM weekly.Track safety repairs as required for Maintenance staff (weekly finds and repairs) and forward the results to Lori Short weekly. JDE Safety WO’s and forms from the safety report box are to be logged by date and equipment and B&G.Maintain the ER board. This will be in cooperation and involvement of the ER team and maintenance techs, inventory specialist and machine shop personal, with safety repairs, parts and labor savings and upcoming repairs and projects.



What you need to succeed:

Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.



Safety:

Required- PPE must be worn while on your job.  At a minimum, safety glasses, safety toe shoes and hearing protection are required in the facility. Additional PPE may apply dependent on task.Required- All safety policies, guidelines and authorities must be followed. Required – Comply with safety participation program.
