Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, including 3-phase power, motor controls, and relay logic.
Troubleshooting Experience: Proficiency with PLCs (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley preferred), HMIs, and SCADA systems.
Protocol Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities in an industrial automation environment.
Safety Awareness: Understanding of arc flash safety and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot & Repair: Electrical control circuits, PLCs, motor circuits, and automation components.
Preventive Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain electrical systems, sensors, actuators, and motor control centers (MCCs).
Support Production: Diagnose and resolve issues with automated equipment to keep production rolling.
Lead Troubleshooting: Take charge in troubleshooting PLC logic, HMIs, and other industrial control systems.
Continuous Improvement: Collaborate on projects to enhance machine efficiency, process optimization, and system reliability.
Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to electrical safety programs, NFPA 70E, and other regulations.
Documentation: Utilize CMMS (eMaint) to document maintenance activities and track work orders.
Training: Empower maintenance personnel with basic troubleshooting techniques.
Preferred QualificationsEducation: Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electrical, Automation, or Industrial Maintenance (or equivalent experience).Experience: 3+ years in industrial automation, controls, or electrical maintenance.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in food processing or similar manufacturing environments.
Software Skills: Familiarity with CMMS software (eMaint or similar) and basic programming skills in PLC software (Studio 5000, Connected Components Workbench, FactoryTalk Viewpoint).
Physical RequirementsIndustrial Environment: Ability to work in conditions with high temperatures, dust, and noise.
Physical Strength: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or elevated platforms.
