Overview The parts Coordinator is responsible for the efficient management of spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials to support production uptime and reduce equipment downtime. This role plays a critical part in storeroom operations by overseeing inventory accuracy, receiving, staging, and distribution of parts using SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and a strong communicator capable of working cross-functionally with all departments. Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and 5S-compliant parts room with properly labeled and tracked bin locations. Perform daily inventory checks, quarterly cycle counts, and ensure accurate stock levels and system records using SAP and VIMs. Receive, verify, and document incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips; notify appropriate departments upon receipt. Source parts and equipment through approved suppliers, create SAP part numbers for new items, and manage shipping and returns. Coordinate with procurement to confirm part availability, lead times (ETAs), and follow up on outstanding orders; track period GRs and work within budgeted guidelines. Collaborate with other facilities for part transfers or shared resources. Kit and stage parts for upcoming work orders or preventive maintenance schedules, and assist technicians in locating and checking out required parts. Work cross-functionally to align on part usage, costs, and inventory needs. Perform other duties as assigned Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $45,000 - $71,800. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Qualifications Education: High School diploma or GED required. Vocational or technical training preferred. Experience: 2–3 years of experience in inventory control, procurement, or parts coordination, preferably in a manufacturing (food, beverage, cosmetic, or pharmaceutical) environment. Software: Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word); experience with CMMS or VIMs a plus. Strong attention to detail and time management. Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks. Comfortable making decisions and taking initiative. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent movement around the parts room and production areas. Ability to safely maneuver around moving equipment and use PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed boots, etc.). Must be able to pass forklift certification (stand-up and sit-down) and operate material handling equipment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Willingness to work weekends or holidays as needed. Prior experience with preventive maintenance systems. Background in high-volume manufacturing environments. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and result-oriented environment. Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) is preferred but not required.
