Install, customize, and maintain IBM MQ software and related components on mainframe systems, ensuring compatibility, performance, and security.
Configure and manage MQ Queue Managers, channels, listeners, and other MQ objects to facilitate message exchange between applications and systems.
Monitor MQ performance and resource utilization, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks, tuning MQ parameters, and optimizing message throughput.
Implement and maintain disaster recovery and high availability solutions for MQ environments, ensuring message integrity and uptime in the event of system failures or disasters.
Collaborate with application developers and system administrators to design, develop, and test MQ-based solutions, offering guidance on best practices and performance optimization.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including installation guides, configuration manuals, and troubleshooting procedures for MQ administration.
Provide technical support to internal teams and end-users, effectively troubleshooting and resolving MQ-related issues.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in mainframe MQ administration and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IBM MQ administration on mainframe systems.
