Our broad approach delivers key results for our customers by achieving cloud driven modernization and workplace and operational transformation to own the business in a secure environment. **Job** **Tittle** : Mainframe Architect **LOCATION** : Hartford, CT · Assess and Strategize: Work with the client's mainframe team to evaluate the current platform, identifying areas for improvement, optimization, and modernization. · Lead Projects: Own and manage assigned mainframe projects from start to finish, ensuring successful delivery. · Collaborate: Partner effectively with external vendors and internal technical teams (including DB2 and other database teams) to understand setups and coordinate project activities. · Optimize Performance: Develop and implement optimization plans for mainframe applications and infrastructure to boost performance and efficiency. · Innovate & Automate: Drive automation initiatives, including exploring and integrating Generative AI capabilities to enhance mainframe operations. · Govern & Report: Lead governance activities and weekly calls, providing clear project updates and aligning on strategic direction. · Deep Dive Analysis: Conduct comprehensive assessments of mainframe and storage environments to pinpoint bottlenecks and opportunities. **Expert-level proficiency in:** · Mainframe Core: IBM z/OS, Mainframe DB2 & Storage, CICS. · Security: RACF, CBAC. · Service Models: Mainframe as a Service (MaaS) concepts. **Solid working knowledge (medium proficiency) in:** · Development: COBOL, JCL. · Utilities: Various mainframe utilities. · SCM Tools: CA Endevor, Rocket LCM. · Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities to assess complex mainframe environments and propose effective solutions. · Communication & Leadership: Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to lead discussions, influence stakeholders, and present technical information clearly. · Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate teams and external partners. **Required skills:** · Mainframe DB2 & Storage, Mainframe CICS, CBAC, RACF, Mainframe as a service ( **Expert** ). · Mainframe Utilities & Mainframe Cobol, JCL, Zos, Endeavor, LCM ( **medium** ).
