Description We are looking for a dedicated Mailroom Clerk / Router to join our team on a contract basis in Lombard, Illinois. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing mailroom operations, ensuring efficient handling of incoming and outgoing mail, and providing exceptional support to internal processes. Responsibilities: • Process incoming mail and packages, ensuring timely distribution to the appropriate departments. • Prepare outgoing mail, including certified and overnight packages, using designated systems and templates. • Perform data entry tasks related to mail tracking and reporting to maintain accurate records. • Coordinate courier services and deliveries to ensure seamless transportation of documents and packages. • Operate routers and other mailroom equipment to enhance efficiency in mail processing. • Maintain organized records of mailroom activities and generate reporting packages as required. • Provide excellent customer service to address inquiries and resolve mail-related issues. • Collaborate with team members to support overall mailroom operations and workflow. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to mail handling and distribution. Requirements • Previous experience in mailroom operations or a similar role. • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite for data entry and reporting. • Familiarity with handling certified mail and overnight package systems. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to operate mailroom equipment such as routers and scanners. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. • Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Knowledge of courier services and package delivery processes.
