Field Representative I, Fulfillment Position Profile
Provides operational support in a fulfillment center across one or more of the following areas:
Operates high-volume continuous feed or cut-sheet printing equipment to produce large print jobs. Performs inserting tasks using high-speed commercial inserters. Handles copying, shipping, receiving, sorting, and distributing mail/faxes. Applies postage and manages white-glove mail piece handling, requiring detailed manual assembly and sorting for USPS mailing. Maintains and repairs copier equipment. May also perform bindery, quality control, final checks, housekeeping, file services, call center, reception, and meeting room setup. Operates in a multi-shift environment. Job Duties and Responsibilities Operates high-volume printing and finishing equipment. Sets up and runs all applications on all equipment. Performs daily inspections and maintenance on convenience copiers. Maintains records for reports and supply inventories. Distributes office supplies, mail, and fax transmissions. Calculates job charges and maintains billing logs. Coordinates and responds to service calls. May perform filing duties per customer requests. Delivers completed jobs to designated locations. Maintains daily meter and service logs. Answers customer inquiries regarding job status or feasibility. Keeps workstation and sorting areas clean and stocked. Handles shipping and receiving of materials. May assist with meeting room setups and light maintenance. May perform occasional cleaning duties. May require overtime, including nights and weekends. Uses various equipment: shrink-wrap machine, paper cutter, bindery tools, jogger, tape machine, stapler, scales, copier, calculator, fax, postage meter, and PC. Performs document filing, including purging and archiving. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 2–3 years of related work experience. Experience in high-production, mechanically sophisticated print environments preferred. Valid driver’s license and minimum auto insurance coverage required. Ability to learn complex production or communication systems (e.g., client-specific mainframe applications). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Working knowledge of copier and related equipment preferred. Understanding of shipping/receiving procedures. Basic electronics knowledge preferred. Ability to work independently and flexibly. Ability to determine correct packing methods and verify packing slips. Ability to follow mail delivery instructions. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and documentation. Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands Frequent exposure to copier/fax noise, toner, and temperature changes. Risk of paper cuts and exposure to weather when moving between buildings. Daily contact with customers, employees, managers, and vendors. High-stress environment due to tight deadlines and quick turnarounds.
