Position Summary:\n
The Mail Services Associate Lead is responsible for overseeing and performing daily mail center operations, including the handling, sorting, delivery, and shipment of materials. This lead role combines hands-on execution with leadership responsibilities to ensure timely and accurate mail services, while maintaining high levels of customer service and operational compliance.\n
Key Responsibilities:\n
Mail Handling & Distribution:\n\nReceive, review, log, and process incoming mail and packages.\nSort and categorize materials according to established methods.\nPick up and deliver materials across departments, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.\nDeliver office supplies, copy paper, and other items as needed.\nInspect all deliveries for suspicious or hazardous contents, following safety protocols.\nPrepare and process outbound shipments using carrier systems (e.g., UPS, FedEx).\nOperate mail or hand carts to transport materials safely.\n\n
Administrative & Reporting:\n\nEnter data into tracking logs and maintain accurate records of daily activities.\nProcess service requests and work orders using appropriate systems.\nMonitor and manage mailroom supplies and report inventory needs.\n\n
Team Support & Leadership:\n\nLead by example and support team members in daily mail center functions.\nProvide training and cross-training to staff as needed.\nStep in to perform duties in other roles during absences or as directed by management.\nEnsure all activities are completed in compliance with safety and operational procedures.\n\n
Qualifications:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.\n2–5 years of experience in mail services or office services preferred.\n1–3 years of experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong customer service orientation with a \"can-do\" attitude.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\nHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skills.\nAble to lift up to 50 pounds and operate mail handling equipment.\n\n
