Magnetics Engineer (Transformer Design)

You will work with a diverse team located in the US and India, giving you opportunities to grow and learn while working with industry leading technology.   In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Design and develop new products related to Dry type transformers Ensure product compliance as per International Standards and Regulatory requirements UL, CSA, IEC, and NEC Develop test procedures, propose test equipment and conduct Transformer testing Organize and attend product reviews and meetings with internal and business unit stakeholders Conduct DFMEA, DFM, PFMEA Assist in the sustenance of existing products, and field quality issues resolution Create and modify Transformer electrical drawings

For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in technical field of study such as Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in transformer industry Software Skills - Optimized Design Services (OPS) software or similar software, MS Excel, MS Power Point. Experience: In Transformer Design Preferably Low Voltage Dry Type Distribution Transformers, Ventilated Transformer, Encapsulated Transformer, Industrial control Transformer Experience in Transformer Design parameters: Efficiency, Impedance, Thermal calculation, Core & Coil Losses etc. Exposure to safety standards (UL, CSA, IEC/ATEX, and NEC) Knowledge of Transformer testing: Efficiency testing, Temperature rise, No load Losses, Load losses etc. Understanding of Transformer Manufacturing and Materials – Coil Winding, Electrical Lamination, Core assembly, Encapsulation etc.   Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Worked in Global Environment, understanding of mechanical aspects of transformer design Experience with test and measurement instrumentation such as power analyzer, AC power source, oscilloscope etc.
