**About the job:**
This Device Engineer role is focused on the development and optimization of Hall and related magnetic sensing devices. As part of TI’s Advanced Technology Development (ATD) team, the role involves close collaboration with TI's manufacturing fabs, business units, and Kilby Labs. The position requires in-depth knowledge of semiconductor device physics as it pertains to magnetic sensing devices and electromagnetism.
**Core Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**
+ Magnetic sensing device component layout, simulation (TCAD and FEM) and optimization
+ Process integration and fabrication evaluation and device characterization
+ Collaboration with fab/manufacturing engineers to ensure device manufacturability
+ Collaboration with reliability engineers to enable device reliability
+ Collaboration with packaging and product teams to ensure product capability of device
+ Failure root-cause investigation for device/process/reliability/yield/product improvements
+ Work closely with product groups and other partners to enable new business opportunities and establish roadmap direction
+ Report project updates at regular intervals to management/stakeholders including and business partners

**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related engineering degree, preferably with a focus on Hall or other related semiconductor sensing devices
+ 2+ years of experience in semiconductor component development including design, layout, simulation, process flow development and fabrication, and characterization/analysis
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related engineering degree, preferably with a focus on Hall or other related semiconductor sensing devices
+ Strong background in device physics and technology development
+ Strong background in analog circuits, particularly in conjunction with sensing devices
+ Experience working on semiconductor devices qualified for marketable products
+ Understanding of equivalent device circuit models for semiconductor devices
+ Understanding of sensor packaging flow and interactions with semiconductor sensor devices
+ Strong Project management/organization/communication skills
+ Materials/process interaction knowledge/experience
+ Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
+ Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
+ Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
**Base Range Info:** Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay range for this role is shown below.
**Base Range:** $110,000 - $160,000
