JSG is seeking an experienced and motivated Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our 2nd shift machining team in Moorpark, CA. Must have CNC Machining Experience. 

This role is responsible for driving productivity, ensuring product quality, maintaining a safe working environment, and fostering a collaborative team culture. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in machining, effective leadership abilities, and a hands-on approach to shop floor supervision. Occasional production duties may be required.
 

Job Responsibilities:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a machine shop environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Directly supervise and support a team of machinists and shop personnel.

Assign daily work tasks and manage production schedules to meet deadlines.

Conduct team meetings to align on goals, share updates, and provide feedback.

Coach team members for growth and continuous improvement.

Address production challenges and implement effective solutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing goals.

Enforce adherence to quality standards and product specifications.

Perform inspections of in-process and finished products.

Partner with the Quality Control team to resolve any quality-related issues.

Champion a culture of safety and enforce OSHA and company safety regulations.

Conduct safety training and regular audits to ensure a secure work environment.

Respond promptly to any incidents, documenting and reporting as required.

Coordinate routine maintenance and emergency repairs of machinery.

Work with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and maintain peak equipment performance.

Keep detailed records of machine usage and maintenance history.

Identify areas for operational efficiency and implement lean manufacturing practices.

Stay current on machining technologies, industry developments, and best practices.

Encourage employee engagement in process improvement initiatives.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 annually DOE
