**Date Posted:** 2025-07-21 **Country:** Canada **Location:** LOC13049 1400 South Service Road West,Oakville,Ontario,L6L 5Y7,Canada **Position Role Type:** Unspecified Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Machine Shop Technician – Hand Hone- Weekday Nights Shift, who will be reporting to the Night shift Surface Finishing Supervisor, as the Machine Shop Technician – Hand Hone working in the Surface Finishing department, you will be responsible for performing various honing duties in support of production requirements. **Work Location: Oakville Facility, Ontario - Canada** **Shift Hours – Weekday Nights – Monday - Thursday (8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.)** **What You Will Do** + Perform hand hone, polish, v-hone and horizontal hone work from drawings and general instructions + This position will be predominantly focused in hand hone + Document actions in support of quality logs and communicates all discrepancies in machining to supervision + Work from set-up sheets, manufacturing sheets & drawings + Perform deburring, filing, polishing and cleaning of landing gear components as specified + Work in a safe team-oriented environment and participate as an active member of the implementation and execution of LEAN principles + Multi-task within the cell. + Perform other duties as assigned **Qualifications We Require:** + Typically High school diploma, with 1-3 years of previous Honing experience. + Experience in measuring equipment and tools. + Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints. + Experience in using Matrix and reading & interpreting latest MPS/APS + The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP **Qualifications We Prefer:** + Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) + Experience in micrometers / Vernier's + Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner + Verbal and written communication skills (English) + Willingness to train and multi-task within the cell **Collins Aerospace** , a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
