Machine Shop Lead-Weekend shift

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Adhere to and promote Terex safety policies and proceduresAdhere to and promote The Terex Way ValuesRelieve team members when they need to leave the work stationTrain and cross train team membersInitiate daily production Kaizen/ImprovementsMaintain/Audit/Improve standard workUnderstanding of TAKT time and Cycle timeStrong Understanding of Single Piece FlowAbility to identify and eliminate waste within manufacturing processesFlex into other areas and departments as neededAll other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

3+ years of electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic equipment experience

Preferred Qualifications:    

High School Diploma and/or equivalent experiencePossess good mechanical aptitudePossess solid working knowledge of subject matterAbility to understand and follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to read and understand blueprintsAbility to accurately read and understand tape measurementsAbility to operate a variety of equipment such as simple hand tools and hand-powered hydraulic material handling devicesPossess basic welding skillsUnderstand and demonstrate basic computer skillsProvide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate group

Physical Requirements of the Job

Physical requirements of the job are classified as medium to heavy. Physical demand requirements are in excess of light work. Medium to heavy work is defined as:10 to 40 pounds of force frequently, may include pushing, pulling and lifting40 to 100 pounds of force occasionally with assistance of machinery or others to move objectsAbility to stand on concrete for 10+ hours per shiftRequired to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

The salary range for this position is $24.14 to $30.57 per hour, plus $1.25/hr in lead pay.
