Job Title: Machine Repair Technician
Job Description

Join our team as a Machine Repair Technician responsible for mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on stamping equipment and auxiliary machines. While your primary focus will be on mechanical tasks, you may also assist with light electrical repairs in the absence of an Electrician. You will have the opportunity to mentor an Apprentice.

ResponsibilitiesPerform basic mechanical troubleshooting and repairs, including hydraulic systems, gear boxes, and pneumatics.Conduct mechanical repairs on stamping equipment and auxiliary machines.Assist with light electrical repairs when necessary.Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure equipment functionality.Mentor and train an Apprentice.Essential SkillsJourneyman in machine repair.Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and repair.Experience in hydraulic systems and component repair.Experience in pneumatic systems and component repair.Ability to read blueprints.Possession of personal tools for the job.Additional Skills & QualificationsElectrical troubleshooting and repair skills are a plus.Why Work Here

Work Environment

Work in a well-maintained and well-lit facility equipped with 18 progressive stamping presses and a large tool room. Join a team of three machine repairmen per shift in an older facility with older, yet well-kept machinery. The position is on the 2nd shift, working from 3 PM to 11 PM, six days a week. Dress code includes jeans/work pants, provided work shirt, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs.

This is a Permanent position based out of Saginaw, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $63232.00 - $68972.00/yr.

Company-

Means began (1922) and is still as a metal stamping plant. They have 3 major products Clutch Systems, TransForm, and various automotive Components

The facility consist of 18 progressive stamping presses and a very large tool room.

Majority of the work is done on the floor at he machine.

There are 3 Machine repairman per shift.

The facility is older with older machinery. All machines and facilities are well kept and well lighted. The maintenance team does a good job keeping up on things.

Hours-

2nd shift

2nd shift = 3pm - 11pm

Working 6 days a week

Dress Code :

Jeans/work pants - Work shirt provided
Steel toes, Safety glasses, ear plugs

Why Means?

-Very consistent production and client demands. (Job security)

-Overtime opportunity (No overtime cap, able to take on as much -OT as they want)

-Stability- has been around since 1922

- Profit Sharing = Every quarter they get back paid for the hours that quarter with a $.40- $1.20 bonus. Calculating the rate on their OT as well.

-3 month contract that gets bought out.
If they are not performing well at the end of 3 months they will have to stay on contract.( Can go direct quickly and get in the union)
