What you will be doing as a Machine Operator – Hydro Draw:

In this role, you can expect to press form a variety of sheet metal parts with machinery using highly pressurized water. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside skilled operators, gain hands-on experience, and enhance your expertise and career growth. Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

Operate Hydraulic Draw Press: Set up and operate hydraulic draw press to form various sheet metal parts, ensuring proper sequence and setup. Set up includes:Selecting Procedures: Choose the correct drawing actions and set the machine accordingly for each series of partsAdjusting Pressure: Determine and set the necessary cushion and ram pressure for each drawLubricate and Position Parts: Use oil or soap solution to lubricate parts, position them on the die block, and place rubber pads to prevent fracturingInspect Parts: Visually check each part for wrinkles, tears, and proper contourTransport and Use Tools: Use carloader to transport die blocks and hand tools such as a pry bar, crescent wrench, screwdriver, and mallet for aiding in machine setup

What you need to be successful:

A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is requiredWillingness to learn new skills and processes from more experienced operatorsAbility to work in working conditions that may be exposed to oil, grease, and noise is neededAbility to make judgements and decisions in order to plan and set up machine operation is helpful
