Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Direct Form Molding Press Operator to set up and operate molding presses, ensuring all parts meet customer quality specifications. The operator will complete necessary measurements and documentation while maintaining high safety standards and contributing to continual workspace improvement (5S).
Location: Bristol, RI
• Hours: 1st shift for training 6:30am to 3pm or 8am-4:30pm for 3 or 4 months, Monday to Friday.
• Pay Range: $20/hr

Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate direct form molding presses
Perform required measurements using Vernier calipers and digital scales
Complete documentation accurately to assure quality standards
Inspect parts visually for defects, ensuring customer specifications are met
Maintain and improve workspace organization and safety (5S)
Follow proper safety procedures at all times
Use PLC operator interfaces (touchscreen) to monitor/control equipment
Safely handle and move heavy materials, including steel tooling (~70 lbs) and 55-gallon drums (~100 lbs)
Collaborate effectively within a self-directed team environment
Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 6 months of manufacturing experience
Proficient in intermediate math (decimals, fractions, S.I. units)
Basic computer skills and ability to navigate PLC interfaces
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and good attendance
Ability to lift, bend, kneel, stand, and reach as needed
Good eyesight for visual inspection of parts
Ability to work overtime and flexible scheduling
Ability to safely move heavy objects using hand trucks
Physical Requirements:Move 55-gallon drums weighing up to 100 lbs using a hand truck
Handle steel tooling weighing up to approximately 70 lbs
Work on concrete surfaces for extended periods
