Job Description:

Location: Westborough, Massachusetts

CoWorx Staffing Services is now hiring Machine Operators in Westborough, MA! This position involves collaborating with fellow operators to conduct manufacturing tasks, ensuring the timely and efficient production of flexible products that meet customer specifications. Responsibilities include assisting in the setup and operation of thermoplastic extruders and related equipment to convert plastic resins into blown film for plastic sheeting and tubing.

Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of duties related to the operation of a Film Extruder and auxiliary equipment.
Remove completed rolls from Winders, inspecting defects, conducting quality checks, weighing, labeling, packaging, and recording production and scrap.
Managing inventory and ensuring proper storage of materials.
Assisting with setups and changeovers, demonstrating a willingness to learn and advance.
Reporting any unusual conditions, equipment issues, or safety concerns promptly.
Conducting required quality checks, completing associated forms accurately.
Perform visual inspections for defects during Web Checks.

Desired Background/Skills:

A High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to operate a film extruder
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of personnel
Basic math skills including the capability to read a ruler and measure in US standards
Strong multitasking skills
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary such as overtime
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
