Job Description:
Location: Bethel, Connecticut
We are actively seeking a Machine Operator in the Bethel, CT area and surrounding towns. The Machine Operator is responsible for executing key phases of high-precision manufacturing processes, including tube and bar drawing, heat treating, precision cutting, and centerless grinding. This role involves setting up and operating machinery to ensure maximum efficiency, maintaining equipment, and monitoring product quality in alignment with company standards and customer requirements. The Machine Operator works closely with production and logistics teams to achieve on-time delivery, quality, and safety goals, while adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company procedures.
Responsibilities:
Manage the set up and operation of machines for maximum efficiency.
Set-up and maintain wire/tube processing equipment according to production schedule and quality standards – making minor adjustments as necessary.
Document basic process observations such as dimensional and shape changes of the product, tooling and equipment.
Work with logistics personnel to meet corporate on-time delivery, scrap and shipment goals.
Oversee that production/development paperwork conforms to GMP.
Enforce line clearance procedure.
Enter/maintain work orders using an electronic ERP system.
Desired Background/Skills:
Technical schools or college degree preferred, but not required. High School Degree or equivalent required.
Two to Five years of related experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret production work instructions, routers and specifications.
This role requires proficiency in English to complete documentation and follow safety instructions
Other Information:
2nd and 3rd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm or 11:00pm-7:00am
