Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description

The Machine Operator will oversee the operation of the nugget mill machine within a food manufacturing setting, ensuring efficiency and quality in the production process.

ResponsibilitiesFeed food ingredients into the mill using a hopper.Operate the milling machine mechanisms to apply force and break down ingredients.Utilize screens or sieves to control particle size and ensure desired consistency.Discharge the milled product from the machine.Perform repairs and troubleshoot any mechanical issues that arise with the mill.Essential SkillsAbility to operate, repair, and troubleshoot a food manufacturing nugget mill machine.Experience in stacking, moving, mixing, and blending ingredients.Mechanical maintenance and mill operation expertise.At least 6 months of manufacturing experience, with food manufacturing experience preferred.Mechanical aptitude and experience in packing, palletizing, visual inspection, machine operating, and blending.Additional Skills & QualificationsDemonstrated drive to advance within the company.Ability to work a 24/7 rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts.Training available on a first shift 8-hour schedule.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean, well-lit food manufacturing facility that adheres to strict health and safety guidelines. Employees are expected to maintain a fast pace and will spend a lot of time standing. Contractors must wear hairnets, beard nets, steel-toed shoes, and lab coats. The facility can become dusty due to the product manufactured and, despite being climate-controlled, can reach temperatures up to 100 degrees due to machinery and ovens.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.50/hr.
