Job Description
Efficiently set up and operate 3 or 5 axis horizontal and vertical CNC milling machines using Fanuc or Siemens controls. Perform in-process checks and ensure precise use of various measuring devices. Monitor cutting tool performance and ensure the safe operation of forklifts and overhead cranes while supporting 5S and Lean manufacturing processes.
Work Environment
The work environment includes a large, safe facility with opportunities for overtime based on shift. The company offers a wage range from $31.05 to $40.60, with entry-level positions starting at $31.05 and those with over 5 years of experience earning up to $40.60. Employees may need to work on weekends with a special weekend opening available.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC milling machines.Perform in-process checks of parts.Use various measuring devices accurately.Monitor cutting tool performance throughout the machining process.Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes.Support and implement 5S and Lean manufacturing processes.Maintain a clean machine and work environment.Maintain and ensure optimal function of fixtures.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Essential SkillsMachinist technician diploma or equivalent combination of experience and education.General knowledge of speed and feed applications.Good understanding and use of CNC machine controls.Good written and spoken English.Knowledge of cutting tools.Ability to work various shifts (day, afternoon, night, or weekend).Capability to perform precision set-ups.Ability to lift up to 50lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in high-precision CNC machining is strongly preferred.Very good organizational skills with attention to small details.Must work well in a team environment.Demonstrated ability to safely operate machinery.Excellent hand and eye coordination.Ability to work on set-ups for long periods.Safe use of hand and power tools.Why Work Here?
