Machine Operator

Silgan Plastics est à la recherche d’un(e) opérateur(trice) de machine pour notre site situé à Montréal. La personne choisie sera responsable de faire fonctionner et de surveiller les équipements de fabrication de plastiques de manière sécuritaire, tout en assurant une production efficace et de qualité. Ce poste pratique exige une bonne attention aux détails, un esprit d’équipe et un fort engagement envers la sécurité.

RESPONSABILITÉS

Faire fonctionner et surveiller les machines de fabrication de plastiques afin d’atteindre les objectifs de production.Effectuer des contrôles de qualité pour s'assurer que les produits respectent les spécifications.Régler, ajuster et dépanner l’équipement au besoin.Remplir les rapports de production avec précision.Signaler toute défaillance d’équipement ou situation dangereuse au superviseur.Maintenir un environnement de travail propre, sécuritaire et bien organisé.Respecter toutes les politiques de l’entreprise ainsi que les procédures de santé et sécurité.Collaborer avec les membres de l’équipe et contribuer à l’amélioration continue.

Silgan Plastics is seeking a Machine Operator for our Montreal-based facility. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the operation and oversight of plastic manufacturing equipment in a safe manner, while ensuring efficient and high-quality production. This hands-on position demands meticulous attention to detail, a collaborative spirit, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate and monitor plastic manufacturing machinery to achieve production targets.Conduct quality inspections to verify that products meet established specifications.Configure, adjust, and troubleshoot equipment as necessary.Accurately complete production documentation and reports.Report any equipment malfunctions or hazardous conditions to the supervisorMaintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment.Adhere strictly to company policies and health and safety procedures.Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent.Prior experience in a manufacturing environment or machine operation (plastics industry experience is an asset).Comfortable working in a fast-paced, repetitive environment.Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended durations.Basic mathematical and measurement competencies.Exceptional attention to detail and a strong safety orientation.Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
