Machine Operator
Job Description
Set up and operate automated manufacturing equipment based on production schedules and work instructionsLoad raw materials, components, and tooling (e.g., feeders, fixtures, stencils) into machinesPerform equipment startup and shutdown procedures, including cleaning and preparationMonitor machines during production to ensure proper operation within control limitsMake adjustments to maintain product quality and resolve basic mechanical or process issuesInspect products for quality and initiate rework or repairs as neededTrack shelf life of materials like chemicals and moisture-sensitive partsRecord production data for inventory and process controlConduct routine preventive maintenance on equipmentFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Work Experience
Ability to read and comprehend moderately complex written and verbal instructionsAbility to effectively communicate in one-on-one or small group settings with team members and supervisorsBasic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers (10s and 100s)Familiarity with manufacturing tools and processes, including:Electronic assembly (color coding, schematics, PCB loading, surface mount assembly)Inspection (PCB components, use of measuring tools)Machine operations (automatic component insertion, wave soldering, surface mount equipment)Mechanical and electrical tools (standard measuring tools)Office/data entry skillsDepending on level:Basic to advanced troubleshooting and machine maintenanceProgramming skills (for higher-level roles)Ability to perform analysis and interpret various types of instructions (written, oral, diagram, or schedule)Decision-making capabilities ranging from task-level to broader team/process impactLeadership or mentorship experience may be required at higher levels
