Machine Operator - 1st Shift - M-F
**POSITION SUMMARY** We are seeking dependable and team-oriented Operators who are eager to work in Packaging, Processing, and Forklift Operations. You will gain hands-on experience across all key areas of our production floor to support business needs and your growth. As an Operator, you will be working in between the following functional areas: **Packaging Duties:** + Perform labeling, packing, checking, palletizing, and other packaging tasks per work instructions or SOPs. + Assist with daily equipment setup and clean-up. + Support various production teams such as mixing, cooking, filling, sanitation, and janitorial as needed. + Follow all safety, GMP, SSOP, and HACCP procedures. + Perform additional duties as assigned by the line lead, Production Supervisor, or Manager. **Processing Duties:** + Stage and verify raw materials per the Production Instruction and FIFO standards. + Transfer materials using forklifts or pallet jacks. + Operate equipment to dump/pump ingredients into mixing tanks and ensure proper blending. + Clean and sanitize tools, containers, and workstations to maintain hygiene standards. + Complete and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with HACCP and GMP guidelines. + Support waste removal and keep the processing area clean and safe. **Forklift Duties:** + Safely operate forklifts to transport, stock, load/unload, and organize pallets, boxes, and drums. + Receive and verify shipments; tag and move inventory to appropriate storage areas. + Perform order picking, packing, and shipping with inventory scanning tools. + Conduct inventory and cycle counts as needed. + Maintain forklift equipment (e.g., battery changes) and ensure the working area is tidy. + Follow all warehouse safety protocols and company procedures. **QUALIFICATIONS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each major responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the major responsibilities. **EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE** + High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. + Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals and electrical diagrams for set-up control loops. + Candidate must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. + Ability to read and write in English, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and machine display information. + Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
