Caterpillar’s company strategy includes sustainability as one of four focus areas and IPSD is engaged and actively preparing green energy solutions for the future.   **Job Summary** As a **Machine Operator I** , you will perform key duties associated with the machining of engine blocks and cylinder heads for Caterpillar Diesel Engines. Reporting to Production Managers, you will be part of a dynamic operations team dedicated to high-quality production.   **What you will do:** + Operate machining equipment to produce high-quality parts free of defects + Maintain records related to inventory, quality, defective parts, and equipment + Maintain a safe and clean workstation + Meet or exceed production standards as set by the company + Submit and assist with Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives + Follow standard operating procedures and specific work instructions. + Communicate with supervisors and managers about processes within the assigned area + Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production goals   **What you will have:** + A minimum of 2 months’ experience in a machining or manufacturing environment + Experience with electronic standard work or standard operating procedures (SOPs) + Strong teamwork and collaboration skills + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written + Comfort working in cross-functional teams and contributing to problem-solving   **What would make you a top candidate:** + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite + Certification in 2 or more relevant technical stations (or willingness to obtain) + Familiarity with Caterpillar’s safety standards and continuous improvement programs   **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time + Ability to perform repetitive operations + Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.   _We are committed to ensuring a supportive and accommodating work environment for all employees.
