Provide clinical support within the credentialed scope of practice
Prepare patients and equipment for exams and procedures
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms and clinical areas
Return patient and pharmacy phone calls promptly and professionally
Accurately collect and prepare lab specimens and lab requisitions
Schedule referrals/procedures and obtain necessary authorizations
Maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Support care team in delivering exceptional patient care
Complete front and back office duties including:
Patient intake and documentation
Vaccine and medication administration
Greeting and assisting patients in person and over the phone
Collecting co-pays and updating patient demographics
Securing referrals, pre-certifications, and completing clerical tasks
QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Option A: 1 year of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant with valid certification/registration
Option B: Less than 1 year's experience with an Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting and valid certification/registration
Certifications:
Current BLS certification required
Must be credentialed by one of the following:
AAMA (CMA)
AMT (RMA)
NCCT (NCMA)
NHA (CCMA)
NHCWA
ARMA
NAHP
NRMA
Competency: Successful completion of the Medical Group competency assessment within 8 weeks of hire
