This position will be part of the Enterprise Services team, which delivers a full suite of services to state agencies, boards, councils, and commissions, and many central services to local government partners.
As an M365 Messaging Administrator you will work to maintain, support, and enhance the enterprise e-mail environments and related M365 services that enables email services for over 40,000 Executive Branch employees and the email capabilities for applications that they support. Primary areas of focus are consistent service management and delivery, quality customer service, effective service request resolution and incident management, and positive vendor engagement outcomes.
Responsibilities include implementation of clearly defined practices and procedures to maintain standards for administration and proactive management of the enterprise email infrastructure and cloud environments to provide reliable and highly available email-related services to MNIT and its customers. This position must be able to investigate and troubleshoot problems, prioritize, determine impact, find solutions, create and/or update existing procedures and documentation to attain problem resolution.
Due to the complex nature of enterprise e-mail and its integration with business processes that support mission critical activities of Executive Branch agencies this position requires senior-level troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Additionally, the evergreen model of Microsoft 365 demands a high degree of flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to new feature rollouts, support scenarios, and situations.
**This position requires an employee to be onsite at 600 Robert St. N, St. Paul, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location.**

Position requires a minimum of four (4) years of IT related experience in Enterprise Email Services.
Experience must include:
+ Advanced experience delivering, managing, and supporting Microsoft 365 Exchange Online.
+ Advanced experience automating processes using PowerShell scripting.
+ Ability to troubleshoot complex email platforms, mail flow, email authentication protocols (DKIM, DMARC, SPF), and spam filtering technologies.
+ Ability to understand and analyze business needs and design and develop effective, efficient solutions.
+ Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
+ Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
A master’s degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor’s degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate’s degree substitutes for one (1) year.
**Preferred Qualifications**
· Experience delivering, managing, and supporting Amazon SES and/or other email services
· Experience using Graph API
· Experience using Power Platform, including PowerBI
· Experience using Agari
· Experience developing code in languages such as Python.
· Experience conducting technical walkthroughs focused on optimization, diagnostics, and issue resolution
· Knowledge of Web accessibility, including the State of Minnesota technology accessibility standard
