CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Senior Talent Acquisition Manager (Global) to lead our talent acquisition efforts worldwide. This individual will be responsible for driving innovative recruitment strategies, managing local and international staffing processes, and building a diverse and qualified talent pipeline. The Senior Talent Acquisition Manager (Global) will collaborate closely with regional HR teams, leadership, and external recruitment partners to ensure that CIMMYT attracts top-tier talent in line with our strategic goals.

The position is based at CIMMYT’s headquarters in Texcoco, Mexico, and offers an exciting opportunity to shape and implement recruitment strategies for a global, mission-driven organization.

Specific duties:

1. Recruitment Strategy Development & Execution

Collaborate with managers at all levels to design and implement tailored recruitment and mobility strategies, aligned with CIMMYT’s staffing plans and organizational goals. Develop and execute innovative outreach strategies using a mix of recruitment media, social media platforms, emerging technologies (such as AI recruitment tools), and data analytics to attract top talent. Create inclusive and diverse resourcing strategies to ensure CIMMYT attracts candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and demographics.

2. Talent Acquisition & Sourcing

Oversee global recruitment processes, ensuring best practices in candidate sourcing, interviews, selection, and onboarding. Manage the recruitment pipeline and maintain a strong talent pool by sourcing candidates through various channels, including job boards, universities, professional networks, and external recruitment agencies. Partner with hiring managers to ensure job descriptions are comprehensive, aligned with organizational needs, and inclusive.

3. Recruitment Systems & Process Optimization

Lead and manage CIMMYT’s recruitment systems, including applicant tracking systems, candidate databases, and recruitment workflows. Continuously analyze and improve recruitment processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with CIMMYT’s needs. Implement and oversee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track recruitment performance and optimize strategies for continuous improvement.

4. Stakeholder Management & Advisory

Serve as a strategic partner to hiring managers, offering expert advice on talent acquisition strategies, candidate selection, and staffing solutions. Foster strong relationships with external recruitment providers, managing third-party partnerships and ensuring effective collaboration. Lead recruitment panels and ensure compliance with CIMMYT’s policies and processes throughout the hiring journey.

5. Team Leadership & Development

Lead, manage, and support a team of recruiters, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional development. Collaborate with the HR and Leadership teams on workforce and succession planning to align recruitment strategies with organizational goals.

 6. Employer Branding & Talent Engagement:

Work with the HR and Communications teams to enhance CIMMYT’s employer brand, positioning the organization as an attractive place to work. Engage with candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive, transparent experience that aligns with CIMMYT’s values and mission.
