M&E Patient Engagement Manager (PEM)

Patient Engagement Manager (PEM) is a specially trained, dedicated team member who provides patients with a single point of contact for all travel and logistics needs including proactive trip management across all client Business Units.  

What You Will Do:

PROCESS MANAGEMENT:

Single Point of Contact for all contract, travel and payment support for patients / PAGs.24/7 compassionate travel support to patients traveling on behalf of client (flight changes, delays, etc).Responsible for all tailored logistic arrangements (special arrangements with airlines / hotels / planning team).Strategic Meeting Expert for patient planning resources, advising and guiding planning teams on coordinating a patient-centric event (menu planning, staging, planning best practices).Provide white-glove on-site support (as needed). (i.e. Meet and Greet at the hotel & tailored on-site itineraries crafted for each patient and their caregiver (as applicable)Complete post-program follow-up and close out procedures. (i.e. expense reimbursement assistance & payment follow-up)Maintain accurate records, system input, and complete file management as outlined in Amex GBT M&E and client policies and procedures for ToV reporting.Ensure full compliance with established corporate policies and ethical standards includingAdherence to regulations – Must comply with laws like FDA, EMA, ICH-GCP, Sunshine Act (in the US), GDPR (EU), and anti-kickback statutes.Transparency – Clear documentation of what expenses are covered, ensuring no undue influence on participation.Privacy protection – Patient health information and travel details must be handled securely and in compliance with data protection laws.Fair market value – Avoiding excessive or luxury travel arrangements that could be seen as inducement.

LEADERSHIP AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:

Maintain proactive, positive, open line of communication with client to ensure understanding of expectations and client satisfaction.Work closely with support departments to exceed client requirements and objectives.Partner with third party suppliers to arrange their services.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:

Manage overall program budget, review, and audit all program related billing for accuracy. Track and report expenses to clients and communicate changes on a consistent basis.May initiate and reconcile supplier payments.

What We’re Looking For:

1-2 years RN experience required.1-2 years meeting planning or traveler support experience preferred.Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of management and clients.Ability to work accurately and timely – to meet deadlines.Ability to be flexible and handle change well.Microsoft Word and Excel experience – Intermediate levelExperience with meeting industry technology a plus (CVENT)Advanced oral and written presentation skills required.Ability to travel by airplane, boat, rail and/or car. Position may require travel to domestic and international locations up to 20%

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $46,000 to $93,000.  The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role.  Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
