M&A Analyst

 The M&A Analyst identifies, researches, analyzes, makes recommendations and negotiates potential mergers, acquisitions and divestitures to support the organization's growth objectives. Makes recommendations regarding the impact of possible mergers, acquisitions and divestitures on the organization's profitability. Conducts appropriate due diligence to ensure the reliability of information provided by potential acquisition targets. The M&A Analyst work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

*This is a hybrid position and will require the candidate to work on-site at Humana’s office in either Louisville, KY or Arlington, VA. The M&A team operates on a hybrid work arrangement (in office approximately 3 days per week)

The M&A Analyst makes recommendations regarding the impact of possible mergers, acquisitions and divestitures on the organization's profitability. Conducts appropriate due diligence to ensure the reliability of information provided by potential acquisition targets. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications 

Bachelor's degree 

2 to 3 relevant professional experience  

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications 

Strong work ethic, detail orientation and passion for excellence 

Knowledge of general financial and accounting principals 

Experience building and evaluating financial models 

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences 

Preferred Qualifications 

Master's degree 

Project Management Professional 

Consulting experience at a top consultancy or accounting firm 

Six Sigma certification

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$78,400 - $107,800 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
