VCA Beech Rd Animal Hospital has an opportunity available for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced, AAHA-accredited, hospital in Redford, MI as a Technician Supervisor.

We are seeking a highly experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our leadership team as Technician Supervisor. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

This is a working supervisory position which is responsible for the leadership and of the Veterinary Technician Staff.   In addition to all Veterinary Technician responsibilities, duties will include, but are not limited to:

Directing work flow on the floorHelp with the interview process for potential new hiresTechnician SchedulingAssists in staffing and coverage where neededAssists in the educational development of technicians and their skillsAssists in basic protocol and standard procedure trainingMentoring technicians within the departmentWorking with department doctors to develop protocols to improve the serviceAccurately handling and recording controlled drugsRecord keeping.Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.

Strong skills are required.  Must be dedicated to creating a healthy work environment where all employees are elevated, empowered and enjoy what they do.  This position is a working supervisory position which is responsible for the leadership and the supervision of our staff of Technicians.
