Position Highlights
+ Work location: Texas Health Cleburne, 201 Walls Dr. Cleburne, TX 76033
* Work environment: Provide quality 'Team' nursing care to the medical/post -surgical patient to provide support and assistance to the Registered Nurses and Staff.
* Work hours: PRN 'As Needed' 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - Requires a minimum of 1 shift per pay period - Rotating Weekends/Holidays
What You Need
+ Graduate of accredited vocational nursing program required.
+ LVN- Licensed Vocational Nursing License upon hire required.
+ 6 months experience as an LVN in acute care setting or the completion of an LVN residency program.
+ BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
+ 1+ year experience as a bedside LVN with experience in passing medications preferred
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful LVN will
+ Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
+ Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
+ Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
+ Have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
* Collaborates with team to facilitate hourly rounding and initiates action to meet patient and families need for information.
* Takes action to reduce/eliminate patient risks
* Collects data and reports significant findings to RN.
* Safely administers medication in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
* Individualizes care measures to reflect specific patient population. Performs technical procedures safely, proficiently.
* Demonstrates critical thinking.
* Adheres to national safety goals in care delivery.
* Monitors patients.
