Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a LVA Quality Enginering Supervisor. This position is ONSITE Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at our Asheville/Arden NC Eaton location.
As a LVA Quality Engineering Supervisor, you will:
Lead manufacturing quality processes and continual improvement efforts supporting the Low Voltage Control Assemblies (LVCA) value stream team.Be a working supervisor of quality technicians and partner with the broader cross-functional value stream team to continually improve quality processes delivering measured reduction of defect rates and costs.Assure customer issues are resolved effectively with minimal interruption in service, carry out structured problem solving, 8D investigation, reporting, and resolution of customer and internal quality issues.Develop effective quality improvement processes and controls to prevent defects, and assure effective reactions and corrections to nonconforming conditions, to deliver highest quality to external and internal customers.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year.

What you’ll do:In this role:
Design, develop, and oversee documentation and implementation of quality management systems and activities to meet product, contract, business, and/or other requirements.Support and oversee implementation of ISO 9000 and Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS) requirements within area of responsibility.Utilize quality methods and statistical tools such as Pareto analyses, 8D and A3 structured problem solving, root cause analysis, PFMEA, Six Sigma and other quality engineering methods to prioritize, lead, and complete continual improvement projects.Work closely with manufacturing engineering, and other cross-functional partners, to resolve quality issues and improve processes.Design, implement, and maintain in-process quality verification and inspection plans, effective preventive countermeasures, and controls on key processes to achieve quality improvement objectives.Oversee some supplier quality assurance activities as appropriate for the assigned areas of responsibility, including review of PPAP qualifications and management of supplier corrective actions. Lead quality technicians assuring effective NCMR and DMR process management to resolve internal and supplier quality concerns. Partner with the local supplier quality team on activities related to the assigned areas of responsibility.Own quality results together with the LVA value stream team.Interface with customers, suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders in both the plant and at customer locations to enhance their understanding of the plant Quality systems.Facilitate customer or other external and internal quality audits and inspections as appropriate to demonstrate compliance.Provide direction to inspection team partners as necessary to assure quality products to customers. Drive error-proofing and control solutions at the source to reduce downstream inspections and reuce recurring failures.Provide support in devdelopment of new products (NPD), processes, and services. Participate in Eaton Pro-Launch NPD processes, providing quality functional inputs.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required.Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Quality, Manufacturing, and/or Engineering function within a manufacturing environment.No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates that reside within a 50-mile radius of the Asheville/Arden NC facility will be considered. Active-duty Military are exempt from this geographical limitation. Skills: Quality engineering experience. Quality Management System (QMS) knowledge and experience (ISO 9001, TS16949, or similar).Identify, evaluate and implement cost-effective resolution of complex Quality issues arising in sales, engineering, materials, and manufacturing.Rapid response to permanently resolve customer product warranty issues which may include identifying the customer’s own improper application or operation of product shipped.Facilitate Field Campaigns when required for quality escapes and develop containment actions to replace suspect materials assuring customer needs met and minimizing adverse impacts.Solutions often require in-depth research and understanding of product design, supplier processes, internal manufacturing processes, and customer applications to properly achieve resolution of quality and product warranty issues.Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and databases.Strong leadership and influencing skills, interpersonal teaming skills, and verbal and written communication skills.Performs duties in an ethical manner.Self-driven, passionate, and committed to meeting needs of internal and external customers.We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
