Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Switchgear Mechanical Lead located in Dallas, Texas. 

 

Reporting to the Switchgear Manager, the Switchgear Mechanical Lead will be responsible for the repair and upkeep of building facilities in a warehouse setting.  

  

Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm 

 

What a typical day looks like: 

 

Provide ongoing feedback on performance of individuals through both formal and informal evaluations. 

Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs  

Communicate daily plan and any production or customer service issues 

Coordinate people resource requirements for the department. 

Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed. 

Performs routine preventive maintenance on building systems 

Maintain a clean and safe work area 

Perform other related duties as assigned 

Primary contact for response to situations where scrap is occurring in any process step. 

 

The experience we’re looking to add to our team: 

 

High School Diploma or equivalent; Completion of a trade school program preferred. 

3-5 years of experience in preventative maintenance or related field 

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred 

Ability to use hand tools and power tools 

Good interpersonal skills, mathematical aptitude, mechanical/technical skills, and logical problem-solving skills 

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and shift from task to task as needed 

Deadline and detail-oriented 

Excellent organizational and time management skills. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

Prolonged periods standing and walking. 

Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. 

Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance. 

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. 

Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
