UPMC’s Summit Family Practice in Erie, PA, is seeking a Full-Time LPN w/Meds, PCN to join our collaborative and patient-centered team! This role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.—with no weekends or holidays required—and flexible scheduling options to support your work-life balance.
In this role, you’ll primarily support our Triage team, while also assisting with rooming patients and performing nurse visits as needed. Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing care for patients and their families. Possess the ability to obtain and interpret information considering age specific needs. Conduct interviews with patients to answer questions related to healthcare problems and provide necessary counseling utilizing all resource persons and materials available. Administer medications and vaccines as ordered by attending physician and keep abreast of changes in requirements for immunization, flu vaccines, and allergy injections. Responsible for sterilization of office equipment and ordering of stock supplies and keep appropriate records of same. Perform laboratory duties assuring compliance with OSHA and CLIA. Identify and communicate educational needs of patients to their physician and does teaching in these areas upon his/her request. Assist physician in patient examination and perform specialized procedures. Maintain competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences with necessary documentation.
