The School Nurse plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to students within a school setting. This position is responsible for applying the nursing process to ensure the health and well-being of students, while also potentially overseeing contracted services. The School Nurse provides care in alignment with Amergis Healthcare Staffing’s philosophy, standards, policies, and physician directives.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver student/client care in accordance with nursing standards and physician orders. Maintain accountability for the nursing process and outcomes. May supervise other healthcare professionals within contracted services. Uphold Amergis Healthcare Staffing’s values and commitment to excellence in school-based care.Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Licensed Vocational Nurse). Active nursing license in the state(s) of practice. Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience (preferred). Current CPR certification. PPD test or chest x-ray (if applicable). Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation). Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
