Position Description: LPN - Inpatient

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Observation team at St. Joseph’s Hospital. As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness.

The LPN - Inpatient responsibilities include:

Working in collaboration and under direction of a Registered Nurse.Responsibility for delivery of patient care as directed for assigned patients including medication administration, therapy and interventions.Successfully complete the 30 hour Florida Board of Nursing IV course during the first two weeks of the LPN Internship.

Qualifications:

Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required

• LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license is required

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and technical program completion or degree in practical nurse program or applicants who have successfully completed the practical nurse equivalency (PNEQ).

Experience:

• 6 months acute care as a Patient Care Technician, Practical Nurse Apprentice, or Practical Nurse Intern (or a combination of time within these 3 roles) or 6 months acute care as an LPN

Shift Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Shift: Nights

Weekend Work: Every Other
