Job Title: Low Voltage Technician – Security Systems

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team in Milwaukee, supporting the installation and maintenance of security systems for commercial and industrial clients. This role is ideal for a technician with hands-on experience in CCTV, access control, and structured cabling who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, coax, fiber)Mount and configure security devices including CCTV cameras, access control panels, and intrusion detection systemsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsPerform system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairsEnsure compliance with safety standards and local codesCollaborate with project managers and other technicians to meet project deadlinesMaintain accurate documentation of installations and service calls

Qualifications:

1–3 years of experience in low voltage or security system installationFamiliarity with tools and equipment used in low voltage workAbility to work from ladders, lifts, and in confined spacesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsValid driver’s license and reliable transportationBICSI, NICET, or manufacturer certifications (preferred but not required)

Schedule & Compensation:

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (occasional overtime)Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($22–$30/hr)Benefits may include health insurance, 401(k), PTO, and mileage reimbursement

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00/hr.
