Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Low Voltage Special Systems Project Manager/Project Engineer to join our team! In this role you will responsible for driving and overseeing design and execution of all IT, special systems and technology systems for the Terminal 5 renovation at LAX.
You will support the main T5 Project Manager by overseeing the design-builder’s design and execution of IT disciplines per the airport's standards. This position will act as the primary IT liaison and airport/owner representative . Primarily, this role/individual shall act as a liaison between the project and Information Management & Technology (IMT) and manage the details required to execute this effort and rollout without impact to airport or airline operations. Successful candidate shall display experience with large stakeholder infaces ensuring inclusion, while understanding and driving the small details that go into signage design concepts, installation and activation
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
10 years or more experience, preferably on airport projects
BS in electrical engineering12 years of experience preferably on airport projects.Experience with projects more than $50 million in value.Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR and Design/Build Proven ability to perform in a management capacityExcellent written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulationsKnowledge in IT design and construction practices and methodologiesManagement of project within budget and schedule constraints while maintaining all necessary scope elementsLeader in stakeholder engagement to identity, communicate, resolution and accomplishment their needs, while preserving the principles and criteria of the project scope, schedule and budget constraintsKnowledge in design and construction contracting practices and methodologiesKnowledge and experience in the project design life cycle from Concept to Project Definition Book to Permit to BulletinsKnowledge and experience in the project construction life cycle from Pre-Construction to estimating/buyout to phasing to implementation to CloseoutAbility to assemble KPI’s and decisions needed for Governance and presentation to others, including the executive staffMaintaining an excellent working relationship with the design and construction professionals geared towards open communications and mutual problem solving in the best interest of the project and all other parties involved.Security Clearance Requirement:
